Overview

Hajoca Corporation, a leading privately-held wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies, is seeking an HDPE Pipe Fusion Technician for their Sandale trade name in Houston, TX. The role involves quality fabrication and production of piping materials, emphasizing safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for quality fabrication and production of piping and related material.
• Use angle grinders and other various electric tools for plasma cutting pipe and steel plates and preparing weld fittings.
• Accurately read cut/fabrication sheet diagrams and measure and mark pipes.
• Safely operate heavy machines such as a Landis threader.
• Maintain proper maintenance on all heavy-duty equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety in the fabrication shop.
• Safely load and unload piping material via forklift.
• Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
• Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

Requirements

• 1 or more years of warehouse or material handling experience.
• Experience in welding and fabrication preferred.
• Demonstrate accountability and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices and operations.
• Relevant HDPE piping, fusion, fabrication, and/or installation experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of steel pipe, fittings and fire protection related products.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly.
• Strong work ethic and high standard of integrity.
• Knowledge of OSHA and other material handling and facility safety regulations.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and all other material handling equipment.
• Ability to learn and operate computer related systems for business operations.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
