Overview

Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security, is seeking a Propulsion Technician Senior for second shift. The role involves executing orbital-tube welding and various fabrication, integration, and testing tasks for satellite propulsion systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform orbital tube welding for the fabrication of tube subassemblies and final propulsion tank closeouts.
  • Assemble, install, test, route/terminate/stake/wrap thermistors, heaters, non-flight thermocouples, and heaters on spacecraft assemblies.
  • Visually inspect propulsion assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly and test procedures.
  • Operate various materials handling equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Travel may be required to support operations identified by the program being supported.
  • Operate a wide range of tools including orbital tube welding machines and power tools.
  • Interface and/or work closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Procurement, and Shipping personnel.
  • Support in areas defined by Millennium Space System Leadership as business needs require.
  • Crosstrain and mentor new hires.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in propulsion assembly on high reliability products.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and harness wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with using various hand tools and power tools.
