As a Maintenance Mechanic 1, you’ll help keep our production equipment running safely, reliably, and efficiently. You’ll learn alongside experienced teammates while performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting equipment improvements that keep operations moving. Your work directly supports safety, quality, and continuous improvement on the plant floor.

Pay: $28.00/hr Shift Differential: 2nd shift; $0.75/hr 3rd shift; $1.25/hr Nestlé Quarterly Bonus Structure

SHIFT / SCHEDULE DETAILS:

Shift: 2nd shift: 2:00PM to 10:00PM 3rd shift: 10:00PM to 6:30AM Schedule: Monday - Friday

Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical equipment to support safe and efficient operations Maintain and repair mechanical and power transfer systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, drive, steam, plumbing, and piping systems Use a computerized maintenance system to complete work orders and document repairs Read and update basic mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs Support equipment upgrades, line improvements, and maintenance-related projects Assist with welding and basic fabrication as needed (MIG, TIG, Stick) Coach operators on basic equipment adjustments and changeovers Identify and address safety, quality, and reliability issues proactively Follow all standard operating procedures and complete required documentation accurately

1 – 2 years of hands-on maintenance or mechanical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment High school diploma or GED required Ability to read and understand English for safety procedures, work instructions, and documenting maintenance activities clearly Ability to work off-shifts, weekends, overtime, and extended shifts as needed. Physical requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation): Able to lift up to 50 lbs, move throughout your shift, varying temperatures, and work safely in loud areas and confined spaces Preferred: Technical degree or coursework in industrial maintenance, electromechanical maintenance, or a related field

Basic mechanical knowledge (hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drive systems) Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics Basic welding and fabrication skills Strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team Clear communication and reliable follow-through

Pay: $28.00 per hour

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
