Job Description

We are a mission-driven, venture-backed team building artificial intelligence that enables service robots to collaborate with people. As a Field Services Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining our robotic fleet and ensuring operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and incident maintenance for our Robot Fleet.
  • Provide support of Root Cause Analysis for major incidents in the Field.
  • Provide timely repairs and decrease the time our Robots are out of production.
  • Report on critical team metrics such as mean time to repair and first contact resolution rate.

Requirements

  • Local to Chicago, IL and able to travel within designated region.
  • Less than 80% travel for site inspections and repairs escalated to engineering.
  • Read and understand manufacturing work instructions, mechanical assembly drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Work with electrical and mechanical tools including digital multimeter and soldering tools.
  • Comfortable with basic command line tools.
  • Ability to become vendor credentialed with partner hospitals.
  • 3+ years of work experience with commercially available products.
  • Technical experience necessary to troubleshoot complex robotic systems.
  • Ability to execute high quality work without supervision in the field.
  • Strong work ethic, organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident with work authorization.

Additional Information

  • Part-time position with weekend coverage.
  • Starting hourly rate is $25/hr.
  • Typical schedule: Friday 4pm-9pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 9am-5pm.
