Overview

Boeing is seeking an Entry-Level Fabrication Specialist to join the Air Dominance Operations team in Mesa, AZ. This role involves working in a collaborative environment focused on innovative fabrication processes for composite materials.

Responsibilities

  • Develop lay-up and assembly set-ups and techniques for composite fabrication.
  • Set up and troubleshoot composite parts for assembly or layup.
  • Assemble and support the fabrication of parts using various processes.
  • Identify nonconforming parts and work with engineering to improve processes.
  • Fabricate composite detail parts using pre-preg materials and wet layup processes.
  • Locate station lines and index points for ply installations.
  • Assemble and install composite and metallic components to specifications.
  • Set up, weigh, mix, and apply composite adhesives per specifications.
  • Prep and apply release agents to tooling as per specifications.
  • Maintain knowledge of composite material bonding best practices.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Composites.
  • Experience interpreting and working from blueprints and instructions in English.
  • Ability to work any shift (1st or 2nd shift).
