Overview

Saras Micro Devices is seeking a highly proactive and skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the safe and reliable operation of R&D and process equipment. This role involves mechanical troubleshooting, electrical controls support, and preventive maintenance in a dynamic start-up environment focused on innovative power delivery solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults in industrial machinery.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot electrical controls and motion systems.
  • Maintain and support industrial ovens and thermal process equipment.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new process machinery and R&D testing equipment.
  • Execute preventive maintenance routines on machinery to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify operational issues.
  • Assist with calibration practices for sensors and precision instruments.
  • Monitor and replace industrial fluids and worn components as needed.
  • Work alongside engineering and production teams to optimize process flow.
  • Fabricate custom replacement parts and maintain process fixtures.
  • Maintain a critical spare parts inventory for specialized equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs and technical support.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment-related utility connections.
  • Adhere to OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
  • Document all maintenance activities and equipment history.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of multi-craft maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Self-driven approach to continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • High school diploma or associate's degree.
