Overview

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Welder 2 for its Pratt & Whitney division in Asheville, NC. This role involves performing various welding operations and maintaining certifications while contributing to the future of aerospace and defense.

Responsibilities

  • Proficiently perform welding operations in the Finish End business unit.
  • Maintain required welding certifications.
  • Perform non-production welding tasks such as laser weld and tack weld.
  • Work from operation sheets, drawings, and verbal instructions to obtain specified equipment and tools.
  • Use measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.
  • Recognize and correct deficiencies in weld geometry.
  • Perform routine servicing following specified procedures.
  • Refer difficulties to Team Lead and/or Supervisor.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • 1 or more years of GTAW (TIG) Welding experience.
