Overview

Peerless Pump Company, a US-based manufacturer of centrifugal pumps, is seeking an experienced Structural Fitter/Welder to join its Packaged Engineered Systems production team in Waller, TX. The company values innovation and employee development, aiming to create a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, plans, and patterns to fabricate large structural weldments from heavy metal plates and sections.
• Accurately mark measurements and shapes on metal surfaces, then cut and trim materials to specified dimensions using arc, plasma, and flame cutters.
• Fit and tack-weld metal members together to form structural assemblies, maintaining certification on tack-weld procedures.
• Inspect own work and complete quality documentation to ensure all fabrications meet engineering specifications.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, cranes, hoists, and hydraulic jacks to move materials and supplies.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain a safe, clean work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED/HSE or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of structural fitting and welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications required.
• Proficiency with stick and wire-feed welding machines, arc/plasma/flame cutters, and small power tools required.
• Experience operating cranes, hoists, forklifts, and hydraulic jacks.

• The salary range for this position is $54,200-$71,880.
