Responsibilities

• Perform various welding tasks such as manufacturing welding of steel and aluminum including brazing and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment.
• Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded.
• Set-up, assemble and tack welding parts.
• Receive written instructions through the use of blueprints and work orders.
• Plan and execute the working process and procedures.
• Use tools and materials according to company specifications and standards.
• Cut, burn and weld various materials and products including aluminum.
• Repair welding equipment using correct welding skills and appropriate welding apparatus and equipment.
• Build up worn and defective surfaces.
• Re-work welding projects.
• Dismantle and assemble material to various cuts and shapes.
• Perform maintenance related functions.

Requirements

• Completion of formal apprentice program preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Additional Information

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
• Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.
• Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
