Overview

This role is a strong technical contributor responsible for welding and fabricating various metal products for Les Schwab Equipment. The position requires the ability to read blueprints and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials for fabrication using tools and equipment according to blueprints.
  • Create fabricated items such as steel/aluminum boxes, service bodies, and cabinets.
  • Pass all welding requirements for Les Schwab Equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to weld various materials in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Ability to use various welding equipment.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and complete fabrication builds with limited supervision.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification and use large cranes.
  • Frequent lifting of equipment and materials weighing more than 20 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Day Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.
  • Work is performed in both inside and outside environments, subject to hazards associated with a welding/fabrication shop.
