Overview

You will serve as a WELDER SUPERVISOR I in the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY&IMF), Detachment Stirling, Australia Maintenance Support, located at His Majesty's Australian Ship (HMAS) Stirling in Western Australia.

Responsibilities

• Supervise welders performing nuclear and/or non-nuclear welding operations.
• Assign, direct, and review work of subordinates.
• Establish performance plans and evaluate work performance.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate work operations.
• Solve work-related problems and determine material, equipment, and facilities needed.
• Provide input on planning current and future work schedules, budgets, and staffing needs.
• Review assigned job orders, workload data, plans, specifications, sketches, and instructions.
• Instruct workers on proper work methods, difficult work operations, use and care of equipment, and safe work practices.
• Review and redirect resources as needed and stay informed of potential delays.
