Overview

Stellar Energy is a provider of turnkey liquid-to-chip cooling solutions for data centers and industrial manufacturing. The 1st Class Welder position involves performing various welding functions on structural plate and pipe, requiring strong technical skills and attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Understand job specific WPS / PQR’s and set up machines for performance in all positions to certified testing criteria.
• Analyze blueprints for welding insignia to assemble components on piping and structural systems.
• Identify, measure, hand dress, cut, and fit prepare metal surfaces for welding per job specific requirements.
• Visually observe pre- and post-welded surfaces and interpret job requirements using precision measuring instruments.
• Interpret insufficient weld criteria and efficiently blend to repair.
• Monitor quality, safety, and health regulations while completing daily work assignments.
• Operate overhead cranes and/or forklifts.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience welding large industrial pipe.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience in threading, grinding, brazing, rigging, plasma cutting, gas arc cutting.
• Fluent in understanding job specific WPS / PQR’s.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and wear protective gear for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a safety-conscious mindset.
• Good physical condition; able to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.

Additional Information

• This position is full-time and operates out of facilities in Jacksonville, FL.
• The first shift is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Occasional weekend work may be required.
• Travel is primarily not required except for local travel during the business day.
