Overview

MOR PPM Inc. is seeking qualified Pipe Welders in Salisbury, NC. The company provides industrial mechanical, electrical, and civil construction services for various industries, ensuring optimal maintenance of facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Execute pipe welding according to welding procedures, specifications, and quality standards
• Read and interpret blueprints and procedures
• Measure, cut, and fabricate material according to specifications
• Repair, install, and replace piping or pipe components according to specifications
• Fabricate and install piping using various welding techniques
• Examine previously installed pipelines and systems for potential defects
• Prepare welding surfaces for operations by cutting and shaping materials using tools
• Communicate with team, customer, and team leaders on project status and needs
• Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts to move pipes or materials
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment and tools
• Adhere to all safety requirements including LOTO, PPE, and other task-related safety requirements

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic diagrams
• Have a complete set of tools appropriate for industrial pipe fitting/welding
• Ability to stoop, bend, and manipulate tools in small spaces
• Perform work at heights
• Pass a pipe coupon weld test
• At least 4 years of pipe welding experience, preferably in an industrial setting

• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform technical duties
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required
