Overview

The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department is seeking qualified individuals to join their Water Distribution team as Utility Systems Technicians I or II, both requiring a CDL. The positions involve installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair work on the water distribution system.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair work on a water distribution system.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Utility Systems Technician I requires 1 year of general construction and/or maintenance experience.
  • Utility Systems Technician II requires 2 years of experience in construction, maintenance, repair work, and/or equipment operation.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL with tank endorsement within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Temporary Traffic Control Safety Certification within 6 months of hire.

Additional Information

  • Positions scheduled to work Tuesday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Employees must be available for emergency call-outs, work overtime, and be on standby as needed.
  • Regular full-time position subject to a 6-month probationary period.
