Overview

Matchtech is supporting a key client in the recruitment of a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of mud pumps, positive displacement pumps, frac pumps, and related equipment. This is a hands-on design engineering position focused on delivering innovative, reliable, and high-performance mechanical solutions within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mud pumps, frac pumps and associated mechanical equipment.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
• Perform stress analysis, tolerance studies and design reviews.
• Develop and execute component and system testing programmes.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support product improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Prepare engineering reports and support technical decision making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in mechanical or machine design engineering.
• Experience designing mud pumps, positive displacement pumps, frac pumps or similar fluid handling equipment.
• Proficiency with Creo, Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Experience using FEA tools such as Ansys or SolidWorks Simulation.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems development from concept through to implementation.
