Overview

Merrick & Company is seeking a Structural Designer I to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals in our High Performance Facilities Business Unit. We are looking for an entry level candidate with some knowledge of Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team completing structural design and renovations to buildings and structures.
  • Prepare drawings for the construction of various types of buildings and structures throughout the United States and possibly overseas.
  • Produce plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings using Revit.
  • Collaborate closely with other designers and design engineers, receiving inputs verbally, in written form, and as markups of drawings.
  • Communicate effectively with other Merrick engineers and drafters located in various offices.

Requirements

  • Experience with Revit BIM software.
  • Ability to produce quality construction drawings for steel, masonry, wood, cold-formed steel, and concrete structures with supervision.
  • Minimum High School / GED.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for client projects.

  • This position can be in any one of four Merrick offices: Greenwood Village (Denver, CO metro area), Albuquerque, NM, Atlanta, GA, or Melbourne, FL.
