Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Technician will work at the Manitowoc, WI facility, part of the Smoke and Grill Division, focusing on creating liquid smoke flavors.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and equipment using hand and power tools.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment to locate and correct breakdowns.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems and components for hazards and compliance with codes.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices.
  • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints for wiring and equipment locations.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and fixtures based on specifications.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery parts.
  • Install and maintain pipe systems and pneumatic equipment.
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
  • Perform building maintenance including minor plumbing and welding.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 - 5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food/beverage.
  • Basic technical knowledge of stainless steel welding/fabrication.
  • Ability to be or become a Sanitary Certified welder.
  • Knowledge of piping systems and electricity.
  • Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a plus.
  • Understanding of process control instrumentation and HVAC systems.
  • Personal computing skills.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule is 6:00PM - 6:00AM on a 4 on, 4 off schedule.
  • Training will be done M-F from 7:00AM - 3:00PM.
  • $1.50 shift differential for working night shift.
