Overview

We are seeking dependable General Labor Workers for our client in Attalla, Alabama. You will support welders by preparing metal materials, cutting and grinding metal, maintaining a clean workspace, and assisting with daily shop operations.

Responsibilities

  • Cut, grind, measure, and prepare metal materials for welding using saws, grinders, and other hand and power tools.
  • Assist welders with material handling, equipment setup, and daily shop tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper storage of tools and equipment.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and welders to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspect prepared materials and completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and report safety concerns promptly.

Requirements

  • Previous general labor, manufacturing, welding shop, or metal fabrication experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16 of an inch.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to follow measurements, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, saws, and grinders is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a hot environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Steel-toe boots are required.
