Overview

Valmont is a Fortune 1000 company focused on advancing agricultural productivity and reimagining vital infrastructure. They are hiring skilled Machine Operator Welders for their Brenham team, offering a hands-on production career with competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Comply 100% with PPE requirements and participate in department safety.
• Operate hydraulic driven equipment.
• Use common shop manufacturing math for calculations.
• Determine the center of an object using measuring skills.
• Perform operator preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Safely use overhead crane for product positioning.
• Comply with directives from Production Supervisor and Lead Person.
• Perform routing machine operations such as feeding or unloading a machine.
• Maintain certifications for 1G and 2G v-groove welding using GMAW.
• Designate and control material flow throughout the shop.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must be able to pass the Valmont endorsed 1G and 2G flat weld certification test.
• Three to six months of previous hands-on welding experience.
• Proficient at math including fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to accurately read a measuring tape.
• Ability to maintain high awareness for safety.
• Must communicate positively with coworkers.
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
• Must have passion and integrity with a drive to excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.

Additional Information

• Night Shift | 3rd Shift Standard Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Additional hours outside the standard shift schedule may be required.
