Innovated Machine & Tool Co., Inc. is a family-owned Precision Sheet Metal manufacturer with over 40 years of experience, committed to delivering high-quality sheet metal products in a fast-paced environment. They are seeking skilled MIG & TIG Welders to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components while ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Use clamps to fit work pieces together accurately.
  • Examine work pieces for defects and measure them with calipers and templates.
  • Weld using steel, aluminum, and other alloys.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts for welding.
  • Determine appropriate welding techniques.
  • Maintain equipment by following operating instructions and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Work efficiently to produce the maximum number of parts in minimum time.
  • Follow company procedures and safety rules.

Requirements

  • Experience welding light gauge sheet metal in a production environment.
  • Ability to MIG or TIG weld.
  • Effective communication skills with supervisors, coworkers, and vendors.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Ability to work in cold or hot temperatures in the plant.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
