Overview

Conveyor Concepts (CCMich) is seeking a Welder Fabricator for the Day, 1st Shift in Coopersville, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience in reading drawings and fitting parts accurately, working in a hands-on environment focused on quality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Work from prints and layout drawings.
• Fit, tack, weld, and finish parts.
• Use cranes, jigs, and fixtures to safely position large weldments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout specifications.
• Fit, position, align, and weld structural steel and fabricated components.
• Measure and verify parts using tape measures, squares, and layout tools.
• Set up and operate fabrication equipment including flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses.
• Lay out material and workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Tack-weld and complete weldments per drawings.
• Use cranes, hoists, and fixtures to safely move and position materials.
• De-burr, prep, and tag parts for the next process.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow company safety policies and attendance expectations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficient in reading a tape measure and solving fractions.
• Comfortable fitting and welding parts.
• Experience working with structural steel and fabricated components.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license required.

Additional Information

• Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
• No mandatory weekends: Saturdays are voluntary; Sundays are never scheduled.
