Overview

A Fitting Fabrication Technician manufactures dual wall fittings and special order items that require special fabrication. The technician reports to and is managed by the fitting fabrication supervisor, maintaining a safe and clean working environment while meeting production and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Keep a working knowledge of fabrication capabilities.
  • Assist in cutting and grinding materials for fittings.
  • Use hand tools and portable power tools.
  • Operate saws including table saw, band saw, and hand-held power saw.
  • Receive training on plastic welding.
  • Assist in welding and finishing products using extruder welding guns.
  • Communicate daily with the fabrication supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Clean work areas daily.
  • Provide items for the Marketing Department.
  • Implement corrective actions on safety issues.
  • Review and improve fabrication processes.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Perform heavy lifting up to 60-70 lbs.

Requirements

  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Recommended experience with power tools and saws.
  • Recommended experience with welding and fabrication.
