The Temple Facilities Technician position at the Gilbert AZ Temple involves ensuring the purity and accurate recording of temple ordinances while providing a positive experience for patrons. The role includes maintaining and operating the temple's physical facilities and various mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure computerized heating and air conditioning equipment operates at maximum efficiency.
• Service complex water treating equipment for boilers and culinary water systems.
• Conduct water treatment tests to maintain proper pH, hardness levels, and conductivity.
• Service and repair laundry equipment and kitchen systems to assure optimum operation.
• Maintain baptismal font filtering and water purification systems.
• Maintain electrical systems, including high voltage wiring and lighting systems.
• Clean, maintain, and repair electronic systems including the Temple Recording System.
• Service and adjust projection sound and communication systems.
• Participate in preparation of yearly facilities budget process and time-card submission.

Requirements

• Completion of 2 years of technical training in a skilled trade plus 4 years of experience in that trade.
• 2 years experience in physical plant operation including skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Shop organization and inventory management skills.
• Basic computer skills and licenses as required by law.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
