Overview

Quality Sterilizer Services Inc. specializes in the service, repair, and preventative maintenance of steam sterilizers, autoclaves, and various washing equipment. The Field Service Technician role involves traveling to customer locations in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex to install, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment in critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on sterilizers, autoclaves, washers, and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Replace parts, perform calibrations, and verify proper operation to meet safety and performance standards.
• Document all service activities and prepare reports.
• Communicate clearly with customers about findings, solutions, and recommended maintenance.
• Coordinate scheduling and maintain tools and parts inventory.
• Adhere to company and customer safety protocols while delivering professional service.

Requirements

• Technical and mechanical aptitude with experience servicing equipment such as sterilizers, autoclaves, and washers.
• Basic electrical and plumbing skills, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to customer sites.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in electronics, mechanics, or biomedical equipment is preferred.
• Previous experience as a field service technician or in maintenance within laboratory, healthcare, or industrial settings is a plus.

Additional Information

• This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.
• Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours.
