Overview
Turner Industries is a fully diversified industrial contractor headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, with over 20,000 employees. They are seeking Combination Welders with Rope Access certification to perform welding and assembly tasks on various structural components.
Responsibilities
- Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components.
- Assemble structural forms such as tanks, pressure vessels, and pipe.
- Use Industrial Rope Access methods for maintenance and repairs.
- Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
- Bolt, clamp, and tack parts to secure them for welding.
- Set up equipment and weld parts using various welding processes.
- May repair products by dismantling and reassembling parts.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- IRATA / SPRAT Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 certification.
- TWIC Card.
- Must pass a weld test before being hired.
- Must be certified as a welder.
- Capacity for work at height.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- CPR certification.
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
- Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others.
