Job Description
Overview
A small directed energy company in Los Angeles is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to assist in designing a high-power RF system aimed at stopping suicide and surveillance drones. The role involves hands-on CAD work and collaboration with an existing mechanical engineer on-site.
Responsibilities
- Design sheet metal and CNC machined parts for RF components.
- Work on an electromechanical robotic gimbal.
- Collaborate with the existing mechanical engineer on hardware development.
Requirements
- Hands-on design experience with sheet metal and CNC machined parts.
- Experience with robotic or electromechanical systems, preferably a gimbal.
- 2 to 7 years of experience as a mechanical engineer.
- Must be a US citizen or green card holder due to ITAR regulations.
- Must be based in or around Los Angeles; relocation is not offered.
Additional Information
- On-site work five days a week in Los Angeles.
- Real ownership of the parts designed, from CAD to the bench.
