Overview

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Welding Technician to join the Fibrebond team in Minden, LA. The role involves advanced metal joining and cutting operations, supporting the fabrication and welding of various modular product lines while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for welding and fabrication.
• Set up and operate welding equipment for MIG welding and other processes.
• Perform high-quality welds and fabrication tasks according to specifications.
• Grind, finish, inspect, and clean welds to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively by reporting equipment malfunctions and quality concerns.
• Support Eaton’s goals through teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Welding certifications in basic welding and MIG welding from a technical college or equivalent program.
• Must successfully pass 1G and 3G X-rayed weld tests.
• Advanced experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices.
• Experience welding complex structural assemblies or fabricated components.
• Prior welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push or pull 50 lbs. or more.
• Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately to within 1/16 of an inch.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees.
• Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Additional Information

• Core hours average 54 per week between 6 am - 4:30 pm.
• Overtime every other Saturday from 6 am - 2:30 pm.
• No relocation benefit is offered; only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Minden, LA will be considered.
