Overview

TAIT partners with artists and brands to create innovative live experiences. Gallagher Staging and Productions, an industry leader in production staging and custom fabrication, is seeking a Fabricator/Welder to assist in the production of standard and custom projects.

Responsibilities

• Read design drawings and work instructions to complete projects accurately.
• Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions.
• Work in multiple areas including carpentry, hand grinding, and polishing.
• Assist in assembling and building components for various sets.
• MIG and TIG weld stainless steel and aluminum components in flat or vertical positions.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure them for conformance with specifications.
• Safely operate basic shop equipment and machinery.
• Conduct inspections to ensure the quality of finished projects.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Basic construction skills to work with steel, aluminum, wood, foam, and more.
• Proficient in using various power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in basic computer software programs; Google Suite products a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to stand for long hours and use hands and wrists continuously.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with the initiative to learn and be trained on various equipment and processes.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Additional Information

• Salary commensurate with experience: $20 per hour.
