Responsibilities

• Perform welding on metals and alloys using various processes.
• Apply knowledge of electric and gas welding processes in manufacturing and repairing parts.
• Determine appropriate welding techniques and select proper materials.
• Plan and lay out work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
• Make difficult welds in hard-to-reach places that meet strict specifications.
• Inspect final products to ensure welds are free from defects and meet standards.

Requirements

• Knowledge of gas welding torch processes and arc welding methods.
• Understanding of how different metals and alloys react to welding processes.
• OSHA-10 certification is required.
