Overview

The Reliability Mechanic position in Bristol, PA offers a starting rate of $46.15/hr and involves troubleshooting and repairing piping, plumbing, structures, supports, and tank systems within the facilities. The role requires executing mechanical tasks through production lines and reports to the Reliability Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safe work procedures in the operation of tools and equipment.
  • Relay pertinent technical information to co-workers and supervisor.
  • Determine list of materials and parts to execute the work.
  • Drive a forklift.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of work areas.
  • Support Behavior Based Safety process by performing observations.
  • Support Loss Control policy, ISO 9001 and OSHAS 18001 management systems.
  • Climb ladders and work outside in all weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE including SCBA respirator.
  • Work on an 8 hour shift schedule and provide emergency plant support after hours.

Requirements

  • Pro-skill to take and determine dimensions, angles and radios of piping systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting pumps, mechanical seals and manufacturing equipment.
  • Desirable experience with rigging and installing machinery.
  • Experience using different metal cut techniques like grinder disc, oxygen cut, pipe cutter, etc.
  • Proficient using rotary tools and hand tools.
  • Good knowledge identifying pipe schedule and material, fitting types and pressure rates, valve class, types and materials.
  • Interpretation of drawings & isometrics.
  • Good skills to work, build and repair threaded pipe and accessories.
  • HS Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical industry preferred.
  • Basic skills in MS Office and excellent interpersonal skills are expected.
  • Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
