Overview

Yancey Bros. Co. has been the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia since 1914, providing high-quality sales, parts, and service. As a Machinist/Welder Technician, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing damaged parts in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Safely run machine shop equipment.
  • Experience with Manual Lathes and Mill.
  • Fabricate and/or repair damaged parts.
  • Fabricate a part from a print or description.
  • Safely work in a shop environment and follow all company safety guidelines.
  • Read and understand service materials.
  • Clean and maintain work area.
  • Work assigned overtime as needed.
  • Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in welding is required.
  • Basic experience running machine equipment.
  • Ability to lift metal sheets and read tape measures.
  • Basic technician skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools applicable to the position.
  • Desire to learn and provide superior customer service.
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
