Overview
Six Flags Over Georgia is looking for a qualified Water Park Mechanic to be responsible for the inspection, repair, and upkeep of various water park attractions and components. This is a full-time, hourly position covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Responsibilities
- Inspect water park rides and attractions, notifying management of any hazards.
- Perform ride inspection and maintenance in accordance with standards set by Six Flags and state regulations.
- Maintain and repair water park attractions, swimming pools, and park facilities.
- Visually and physically inspect ride components including water slides and plumbing systems.
- Conduct basic mechanical repairs of ride vehicle components.
- Inspect and repair fiberglass waterslides.
- Maintain Six Flags Water Quality program for Hurricane Harbor.
- Respond to work orders and conduct repairs to maintain safe park operation.
- Adhere to park policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Experience in FRP fabrication/repair, polyester, gelcoat, and epoxy lamination.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to interact professionally with other departments.
- Must be able to troubleshoot in the presence of guests and management.
- Ability to write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Able to meet physical demands including lifting and working at heights up to 200 ft.
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
- Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Drivers’ License and clean DMV report.
- Must pass a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) course within 12 months of hire.

Additional Information
- Full-time, hourly overtime eligible position.
