Overview

Airtomic Ducting Solutions, located in Franklin, Indiana, is a growing aerospace solutions provider focused on delivering best-in-class service and supporting employee growth. The Welder/Fabricator Level One plays a crucial role in the manufacturing team, performing welding and fabricating operations on aircraft engine components in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act proactively supporting safety at all times.
• Interpret routings, op sheets and draw on personal knowledge to determine the most efficient approach to repair a given part.
• Polish and blend products.
• Cut and prepare parts for welding.
• Cold work tubes, ducts & manifolds to conform to check fixtures.
• TIG weld or torch braze thin wall tubes and tubular products to aerospace quality standards.
• Ensure products adhere to quality standards.
• Identify potential process improvements.
• Clean and pressure test products as assigned.
• Bead blast products as needed.
• Communicate and interact with coworkers.
• Ensure hazardous materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled for proper disposal.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong work ethic and leadership ability.
• Ability to organize priorities and complete tasks on time in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to pass FAA drug screen and background check.
• Experience welding thin wall stainless steel or nickel alloys.
• Ability to certify to NADCAP requirements (AWS D17.1) for stainless steel on all required joint types.
• Ability to certify as a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI).
• Experience in Aerospace welding or thin metalworking.
• Applies basic math and blueprint interpretation skills.
