Overview
Swissport is a global leader in aviation services, providing Ground Handling, Cargo Handling, and Passenger Services to over 300 million passengers annually. The Pipeline Mechanic role involves the inspection, repairs, and maintenance of fuel facilities and systems in accordance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure integrity of all Station Fuel facilities through inspection and maintenance.
- Train new employees as directed by Supervisors.
- Document integrity of fuel facilities by completing inspection and maintenance documents.
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on all Station Fuel systems.
- Complete corrosion control for pipeline and fuel facility components.
- Disassemble, assemble, repair, and replace fuel system components.
- Inspect and repair emergency fuel shut off system components.
- Inspect and report deficiencies throughout all fuel systems.
- Coordinate, document, and report work accomplished.
- Report major findings of fuel leaks or rust to management.
- Assist with clean up of fuel spills.
- Clean and maintain the work area.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in fuel facility/hydrant system operations.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a color blindness exam.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in teams with minimal supervision.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work well with hands.
- Must be able to purchase personal tools as specified.
