The Pipeline Mechanic role involves the inspection, repairs, and maintenance of fuel facilities and systems in accordance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure integrity of all Station Fuel facilities through inspection and maintenance.
• Train new employees as directed by Supervisors.
• Document integrity of fuel facilities by completing inspection and maintenance documents.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on all Station Fuel systems.
• Complete corrosion control for pipeline and fuel facility components.
• Disassemble, assemble, repair, and replace fuel system components.
• Inspect and repair emergency fuel shut off system components.
• Inspect and report deficiencies throughout all fuel systems.
• Coordinate, document, and report work accomplished.
• Report major findings of fuel leaks or rust to management.
• Assist with clean up of fuel spills.
• Clean and maintain the work area.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in fuel facility/hydrant system operations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a color blindness exam.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in teams with minimal supervision.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work well with hands.
• Must be able to purchase personal tools as specified.
