Overview

Mobile Air & Power Rentals is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join their Indianapolis-based fabrication team, providing innovative cooling, heating, dehumidification, and power solutions for customers nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication, welding, pipefitting, and structural welding for specialty manufacturing projects.
• Assemble, repair, and troubleshoot fabricated components and equipment.
• Support general machine repair and mechanical assembly activities.
• Operate shop equipment and heavy machinery daily, including cranes, saws, forklifts, and semi-tractor trailers.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities as needed.
• Complete required documentation related to work performed and materials used.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Identify and communicate potential process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and shop safety.
• Assist with additional shop floor activities as requested.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or warehouse environment.
• Welding experience preferred (structural and/or pipe welding).
• Forklift certification required; crane operation experience preferred.
• Shipping and receiving experience is a plus.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and other PC-based programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials in a shop environment.
