Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic 1st Class is a highly skilled professional responsible for performing maintenance tasks, ensuring safety, and participating in team initiatives to improve plant operations. This role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and maintenance programs.
  • Perform cleanup duties at workstations and equipment.
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment for operational readiness.
  • Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
  • Read and analyze blueprints and technical data.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Support training and development of colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • Five years of experience in a related maintenance trade preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficient in SAP PM Module.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Advanced mathematics skills.
  • Must remain drug-free.

Additional Information

  • Must be able to work flexible rotating shift schedules.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 40lbs repetitively.
  • Exposure to industrial manufacturing environment with extreme temperature variations.
