Overview
The Maintenance Mechanic 1st Class is a highly skilled professional responsible for performing maintenance tasks, ensuring safety, and participating in team initiatives to improve plant operations. This role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations.
- Participate in safety, quality, and maintenance programs.
- Perform cleanup duties at workstations and equipment.
- Inspect vehicles and equipment for operational readiness.
- Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
- Read and analyze blueprints and technical data.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Support training and development of colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
- Five years of experience in a related maintenance trade preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Proficient in SAP PM Module.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Advanced mathematics skills.
- Must remain drug-free.
Additional Information
- Must be able to work flexible rotating shift schedules.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 40lbs repetitively.
- Exposure to industrial manufacturing environment with extreme temperature variations.
