Overview

Atwell, LLC is a leader in consulting, engineering, and construction services, focusing on creative solutions for clients in real estate, land development, and energy markets. They are seeking a Structural Designer with experience in the Oil and Gas industry to support projects related to pipelines and facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and implement structural design input from the Lead Structural Engineer for oil and gas facilities.
  • Develop detailed construction documents, including structural plans, sections, and connection details for steel and concrete structures.
  • Develop and detail ductwork layouts and designs for oil and gas facilities.
  • Revise drawings based on redlines and ensure all affected sheets and disciplines are properly coordinated.
  • Perform periodic field visits to verify existing conditions and support as-built documentation.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Drafting & Design Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and structural plan sets for oil and gas facilities.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (versions 2021, 2022, or 2023) is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using AutoCAD and/or CADWorx for industrial structural or piping design.
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
