Signode is a leading manufacturer of transit packaging solutions with over $2B in revenue and 80+ manufacturing facilities worldwide. The Industrial Maintenance Technician role involves troubleshooting and repairing various systems to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders.
- Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance and report findings.
- Perform corrections on electrical issues using knowledge of drives and PLCs.
- Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs and changeovers.
- Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
- Respond quickly to safety issues or concerns.
- Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders and maintenance manager.
Requirements
- Minimum High School diploma or GED and electrical apprenticeship and/or vocational school certificate in electricity.
- Five years of electrical technical hands-on experience including wiring automation machine control panels and PLCs.
- Good working knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting electrical issues including 480 volts.
- Ability to troubleshoot control circuits, motors, and other electrical systems.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics and apply NEC requirements.
- Ability to use appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and understand gauges, tools, and instruments for quality and repair.
- Ability to work independently.
- Sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment.
- Good working knowledge of mechanics and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
- Good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic systems, pumps, valves, and conveyors.
- Forklifts and scissor lift driving experience preferred.
- Lathe operation experience preferred.
- Organization and housekeeping skills.
- Good communication skills throughout all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to work on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

Additional Information
- 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift available.
- Training for this position will be on 3rd Shift: Sunday – Friday; 10:30pm - 6:30am for up to 6 months.
- Sign-On Bonus of $2000 paid in two installments.
