Overview

At Niagara, we’re looking for Team Members who want to be part of achieving our mission to provide our customers the highest quality most affordable bottled water. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair of production and facilities equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and testing equipment.
• Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility.
• Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with Niagara’s defined processes.
• Maintain industrial control systems.
• Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs in a safe and timely manner.
• May fill in for production operator as needed.
• Create and report repairs throughout shift and complete required work order paperwork.
• Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in field or similar maintenance environment.
• 4 years of experience in position.
• 4 years of experience managing people/projects.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
• Skilled in the use of shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill and lathe, and assorted power tools.
• Proficient skills with precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges.
• Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of plant or machine center.
• Will need own toolbox and basic tools.

Additional Information

• Schedule: 2-2-3 rotation. Position is potentially for nights.
