Overview
This position involves working at customer sites to support the energy industry through various welding and turbine repair applications, requiring extensive travel and overtime. Siemens Energy is a global leader in energy technology, committed to sustainable and reliable energy solutions.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations to meet manufacturing and engineering specifications for turbine generator field services equipment.
- Engage in heavy travel for job assignments, including potential short notice travel.
- Work a high percentage of overtime, including 12-hour shifts.
- Assemble turbine blades and components with precision, including hand riveting.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years training leading to Diploma or Certificate from technical/trade school or apprentice program in welding or manufacturing.
- Minimum of three years welding experience.
- Skilled in manual SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW welding processes.
- Capable of passing 6G position heavy wall weld test using both GTAW and SMAW on carbon and stainless steel.
- Basic computer skills to complete job-related expenses.
- Ability to pass drug screen and extensive background investigation.
- Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for employer-sponsored work authorization.
