Overview

This position involves working at customer sites to support the energy industry through various welding and turbine repair applications, requiring extensive travel and overtime. Siemens Energy is a global leader in energy technology, committed to sustainable and reliable energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations to meet manufacturing and engineering specifications for turbine generator field services equipment.
  • Engage in heavy travel for job assignments, including potential short notice travel.
  • Work a high percentage of overtime, including 12-hour shifts.
  • Assemble turbine blades and components with precision, including hand riveting.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years training leading to Diploma or Certificate from technical/trade school or apprentice program in welding or manufacturing.
  • Minimum of three years welding experience.
  • Skilled in manual SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW welding processes.
  • Capable of passing 6G position heavy wall weld test using both GTAW and SMAW on carbon and stainless steel.
  • Basic computer skills to complete job-related expenses.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and extensive background investigation.
  • Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for employer-sponsored work authorization.
