Overview
The Multi-Craft Specialist is responsible for performing various electrical, mechanical, welding, and maintenance tasks related to equipment and facilities. This role also includes leadership and training for other maintenance employees, ensuring safety and compliance while maintaining a clean work environment.
Responsibilities
- Specify, order, or procure necessary materials and equipment for jobs.
- Participate in electrical, mechanical, PLC, computer, alignment, and vibration analysis for all maintenance crafts.
- Assist with training other craft employees.
- Perform electric arc and acetylene welding and cutting assignments.
- Utilize machine shop equipment, hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments safely.
- Conduct regular fire and safety inspections and issue reports.
- Make circuit or logic modifications.
- Install conduit, wiring, or electrical equipment.
- Repair, replace, or troubleshoot burner control systems.
- Repair or replace facility lighting fixtures.
- Troubleshoot PLCs (programmable logic controllers).
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
- Maintain regular attendance on site and rotate to varying shifts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must provide verifiable authorization to work in the United States.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of electrical systems.
- Basic PLC knowledge.
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics.
- Proficient in SAP PM Module.
- High School or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Five years of experience in a related maintenance trade or occupation.
- Ability to demonstrate troubleshooting techniques.
- Basic knowledge of welding practices and hydraulic circuitry.
- Advanced understanding of electrical circuitry.
- Ability to interpret instructions in various forms.
Additional Information
- Ability to work at elevated heights.
- Ability to stand for 8 - 12 hours straight.
- Must be able to lift and push/pull 40lbs more than 50 times per day.
- Exposure to temperature extremes and uncomfortable noise levels.
