Overview
The Sheet Metal Craftsman position requires advanced skills in sheet metal work, with responsibilities including independent project management and directing junior technicians. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork, while also focusing on the training and development of staff.
Responsibilities
- Work independently and direct Tech Is and Tech IIs on projects
- Promote and actively participate in Chamberlin’s Safety Program
- Demonstrate and promote Chamberlin’s core values of safety, quality, and teamwork
- Help in the training and development of Technicians
- Commit to work product perfection and production within the specific skill set
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in Sheet Metal, preferably in a commercial application
- Advanced knowledge and ability to demonstrate a proficient skill level for sheet metal
- English speaking, bilingual preferred
- Able to read, understand, and follow blueprints and construction documents
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Must be able to work outside in changing weather conditions
- Must be able to work in elevated locations
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to get to different job locations
- High school diploma or GED encouraged but not required, safety certifications
