Overview
The Technician position involves assembling, disassembling, and repairing pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves, while diagnosing problems and testing items in both shop and field environments. Responsibilities
- Repair pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
- Tear down pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves for repair and identify parts needed.
- Build new pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
- Assist in the machine shop as needed.
- Test completed pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders according to written procedures.
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Record parts and materials needed and request new parts and materials as necessary.
- Maintain a neat and orderly shop.
- Hone and repair barrels.
- Help with the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and controls.
- Maintain test stands and equipment in accordance with ISO procedures.
- Know, understand, and abide by environmental policies.
- Weld as needed.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED/Vocational School.
- Three years mechanic experience, hydraulic experience preferred.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a task.
- Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
- Ability to make decisions while following company procedures.
- Keep management informed of work and backlog.
- Ability to use cranes and other heavy and light machines and equipment.
