Overview

Exentec BioPharma Solutions is seeking an experienced Fabricator/TIG Welder in Lawrence, MA, to support the fabrication of stainless-steel components and equipment for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. This role involves hands-on work with stainless steel systems and requires collaboration with team members and supervisors to ensure high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the daily direction provided by the department head or supervisor
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and technical specifications
  • Perform high-quality TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel frames, tubing, and valve fabrications using manual and automated processes
  • Utilize machinery and hand tools for cutting, machining, grinding, and polishing stainless steel components
  • Assist in the assembly and fabrication of custom-engineered pharmaceutical equipment
  • Maintain consistent communication with team members and leadership regarding progress, challenges, and potential solutions
  • Ensure all work meets required quality, safety, and performance standards

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of TIG (GTAW) welding experience
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with precision and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Experience with fabrication and testing of TFF, chromatography, or bioreactor systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of ASME BPE Codes and Standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within the pharmaceutical industry (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components (preferred)

Additional Information

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (more than 2 consecutive hours within an 8-hour shift)
  • Regular interaction with machinery and equipment containing moving parts
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed
  • Exposure to welding, cutting, and grinding processes
  • Occasional exposure to low- and high-voltage equipment
  • Work performed in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment
