Overview

We are currently hiring for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a fast-growing, high-impact manufacturing team on the 2nd shift in Burr Ridge, IL. The role involves providing hands-on maintenance and performance support for large-scale food manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain cooking, packaging, and bagging equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues.
• Safely work on electrical systems up to high voltage.
• Run conduit to and from motor control panels.
• TIG weld stainless steel and solder copper pipe.
• Handle general facility repairs such as painting and lighting.
• Identify and execute improvement projects to increase throughput and reduce downtime.
• Read and interpret drawings, equipment manuals, and work orders.
• Utilize a CMMS system to document all work.
• Follow Lean manufacturing principles and strong GMP/food safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with production teams, managers, and other technicians.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use a multimeter and basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience reading drawings and equipment manuals.
• Proficient with hand tools and basic computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of GMPs and food safety guidelines.
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
