Overview

The Sheet Metal Technician will assist with general installation and related responsibilities in the sheet metal division, ensuring tasks are completed correctly, safely, and timely. The role involves promoting safety practices, working independently and as part of a team, and potentially training other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with and perform general installation and related responsibilities for the sheet metal division.
  • Transport materials, equipment, and rigging during projects.
  • Promote Chamberlin’s Safety Program and use safe work practices.
  • Learn and understand Chamberlin’s core values of safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Work independently and as a team member on projects as assigned.
  • Help train other team members as skills increase.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Work, sports, or organization experience that demonstrates work ethic and commitment.
  • Preferred experience in construction with a focus on roofing, waterproofing, and sheet metal.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work outside in changing weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work in elevated locations.
  • Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary.
  • Must be able to pass a 'fit for duty' exam.
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to differing job locations.
  • Must be looking for full-time employment with a desire to advance within the company.
  • High school diploma or GED encouraged but not required.
