Overview

Universal Technical Institute is seeking an experienced Welder to become a Welding Instructor, providing mentorship and hands-on training to students aspiring to enter the welding industry. The role emphasizes the importance of interactive teaching and safety in a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for students.
  • Lead hands-on training and practical demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with the education team to enhance and develop courses.
  • Guide and mentor students on their individual projects.
  • Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5 years of practical work experience in welding.
  • Skills in MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding processes.
  • Experience with oxy-acetylene torch work, plasma cutting, and brazing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to teaching.
