Overview

Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer I who will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts. The company is a top builder, developer, and EPC with expertise in various markets including sports, renewable energy, and healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload equipment
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging
  • Level ground for scaffolding
  • Tend mortar and grout
  • Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout
  • General cleanup and clearing of debris
  • Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
  • Vibrate concrete
  • Effectively work and build relationships with diverse backgrounds
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have completed a two (2) year apprenticeship
  • Experience in construction preferred
  • Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers
  • Strong teamwork orientation and positive attitude
  • Detail orientation and active listening skills
  • Effective communication skills and openness to diverse input
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
