Overview
IRCA is an international provider of semi-finished ingredients for the bakery, pastry, and gelato markets, currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift. The company has a strong history of growth and a diverse product portfolio, serving a wide range of customers in the food manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot machinery and perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Read, interpret, and follow instructions and operation manuals.
- Demonstrate electrical competency for troubleshooting and be familiar with electrical principles and components.
- Weld and fabricate parts and equipment.
- Use an electrical meter for testing purposes.
- Maintain a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
- Be knowledgeable in piping systems, pipe fittings, pumps and motors, valves, etc.
- Comprehend gearboxes, motors, bearings, sprockets, chains, bushings, belts, and pulleys.
- Clean, repair, and install equipment and parts as needed.
- Operate sit-down forklift and/or articulating boom lift.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Be dependable and reliable, ready to work.
- Perform general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.
- Demonstrate strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with all plant departments and write routine reports and correspondence.
Requirements
- Industrial maintenance experience.
- 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Welding and/or fabrication experience preferred.
- HS diploma or GED.
- Demonstrate knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability.
- Demonstrate strong computer skills.
- Able to perform physical tasks and demonstrate physical dexterity.
- Ability to troubleshoot to identify and recommend solutions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and/or push, pull or move heavy machinery and/or drums.
- Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift.

Additional Information
- $3,000 Sign-On Bonus
- Base salary range of $30.00-$38.00 per hour plus an additional $1.00 for the shift differential for Employees Located in Illinois.
