Overview

The Facilities Technician 1 is responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing facility and automation equipment within the Dream Fulfillment Center (DFC). This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on powered industrial equipment and conveyor systems.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on building equipment including air compressors, heating/ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Communicate with Facilities Manager and Operations leaders regarding the status of repair work.
• Perform project work to support warehouse operations and building projects as assigned.
• Maintain CMMS, work orders, and inventory management.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience in a similar role.
• Experience in diagnostic and troubleshooting as well as repairs on mechanical equipment.
• Computer proficiency to input work performed and use email.
• Proficient use of conveyor control systems software.
• Ability to operate all powered equipment in the facility including yard trucks and forklifts.
• Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime, off-shifts, and weekends as needed.
